TVIFall, 2009 Dear Chaverim and Parents, Hashem Imachem! Enclosed is an application for Bnei Akiva's National Leadership Training Seminar, Torah Va'Avoda Institute or TVI in Israel. It is one of the most innovative and successful programs offered to North American Jewish youth. You can truly make a difference on this program. All participants will spend a significant part of their day giving to Am Yisrael doing sheurut leumi. From soup kitchens to special-ed schools, participants will have opportunities and challenges to contribute in hands-on diversified settings. We have decided to permanently run our TVI program in Israel. This move greatly enhanced the variety of experiences that we could offer our participants as we continue to build the future leaders of Bnei Akiva and Am Yisrael. Please read the enclosed brochure and information package that describes the program in more detail. Enjoy watching the informative and inspirational DVD. Our base location is Ramat Shapiro. Ramat Shapiro is located 5 minutes off the main highway leading up to Yerushalayim in the scenic hills of Harei Yehuda. It is not far from Beit Shemesh or from Mevaseret Tziyon. It is about a 15-20 minute drive to Yerushalayim from Ramot Shapira. Ramot Shapira has beautiful facilities with some of the most breathtaking views that can be found in Israel. This facility includes beautiful dorms, chadar ochel, Beit Midrash, use of sports fields, and a nicely landscaped campus. All indoor facilities are air conditioned. Use of a swimming pool in the area is being arranged. We are thrilled that we were able to arrange use of this facility for our program. In addition, the proximity to Yerushalayim only enhances our program. There are limited spaces so we strongly urge you to apply early. TVI has made aliya.
