TVI BET 2008 – at CAMP MOSHAVA

After an exciting, fun and rewarding educational and social experience at TVI, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to continue your unique summer experience by working and participating in the TVI Bet program at Camp Moshava.

TVI Bet is a leadership-training program providing you with the opportunity to be a part of the Moshava staff, contribute some of your newly acquired skills from TVI and maintain the group camaraderie of TVI as well. Participants will rotate into different jobs over the course of the month and experience different facets of camp leadership roles including working as counselors in training and working in other support roles in camp. This unique program will supplement the TVI in Israel program by providing "hands-on" experience in camp counseling and camp specialty work and be demanding but fun as well. Participants in TVI Bet will be paid a salary and will be considered part of the Moshava staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Those who attend TVI in Israel will be eligible to apply as TVI Bet staff. If you are unable to attend TVI in Israel, you can apply but no answers will be given to you before May 1, 2008.
  2. ACCEPTANCE TO TVI DOES NOT GUARANTEE ACCEPTANCE OR PARTICIPATION IN THE TVI BET PROGRAM. YOU MUST APPLY FOR THIS PROGRAM!
  3. All potential participants may be asked to interview with the Camp Director. In addition, all final acceptances to this program are contingent upon the positive recommendation of the Torah Va'Avodah Institute staff. An unfavorable recommendation from the TVI staff will automatically preclude the applicant's participation in TVI Bet.
  4. TVI in Israel ends on Thursday, July 17, 2008. All TVI participants will returning from Israel on that day unless they choose to stay in Israel for Shabbat. TVI Bet will begin on Wednesday, July 23 when the staff orientation seminar together with all new second month Moshava tzevet begins. TVI Bet participants who are not from the East Coast will be assisted in finding a place to stay in the greater NY/NJ area, if needed.
  5. The demanding nature of the program requires a mature participant who will meet the challenge of the program, understands the rigors of camp staff responsibilities and accept all rules and responsibilities of Camp Moshava staff.
  6. TVI Bet staff will be paid $275.00.
