We welcome all campers and staff to the second session of 2009- Bruchim Habaim.

Campers and staff prepared for the arriving chanichim (campers).

All of the machane eagerly anticipated the buses arrival and were there to be welcoming and helpful.

The buses arrived and were warmly greeted by Alan, the camp director and Chana the rosh mosh. Everyone helped out getting the chanichim to their counselors.

Lots of hugging and happiness at seeing old friends.

The chanichim brought assorted items from home to insure their comfort and creature comfort.

Then they set off to the bunks to settle.

The opening tochnit for Moshevet Yisrael B'artzo started with two janitors cleaning the museum. When the museum closes, the exhibit, which depicts the two spies Yehoshua sent to Israel being helped by Rachav who is hiding them from the enemy, comes to life.

The ten people with swords are the kings men from Yericho sent to fight the Israelites.

A slide show about bayamim hahem bazman hazaeh-"In those days in these times" followed and portrayed the theme – Moshevet Yisrael B'artzo- Israel in its land- the times of Yehoshua, Saul, Devorah, David, Ruth, Yael and Shlomo provide us with life lessons and new perspectives on the challenges we face today.
