שבעה עשר בתמוז in camp was designed to help the campers, according to their age, reflect on how we can improve individually and each person's role in the larger group and mission of Am Yisrael.

The younger eidot who were not fasting, had a mix of educational activities and regular activities. The older eidot had discussions and guest presenters throughout the day.

The campers in all of the eidot were captivated as they heard the powerful and articulate presentation of Sgt Anthony Benjamin from Our Soldiers Speak as he shared the thoughts and feelings he had before, during and after ambushes during the War in Lebanon and some of the conflicts that tzahal soldiers face during their service. Throughout the day, campers also watched several vignettes depicting Bein Adam L'Chavero schenarios and broke up into groups to discuss them. Pictured below are Eidah Hey campers in the Honest Look in the Mirror activity

Another activity reinforced looking for the good qualities in friends and bunk mates. Pictured here are Eidah Daled campers in that activity.

Machal had a full day. They heard a panel discussion from parents of soldiers in tzahal and chayalim and chayalot, and heard Our Soldiers Speak.

In other activities today, Eidah Aleph campers also helped collect items for recycling,

and enjoyed nagarut, soccer, and mini golf. Click on the pictures to see more aleph pictures.

And Eidah Hey is pictured in soccer, softball, beach volleyball and basketball.

At the end of the day, Rachel and Danielle, two very talented and creative drama instructors, treated us to a terrific puppet show about David Hamelech.
