One of our new activities in camp this summer is the Biblical
Discovery Zone. Designed to be an interactive learning experience,
chanichim (campers) experiment with different activities and
learn about topics related to the theme of the summer, Yisrael
Be'artzo. In one area, campers learn about music in Tanach
by blowing trumpets resembling those in biblical times, playing other
biblical type instruments, and making their own biblical panpipe. In
another area, campers learn about types of jewelry worn in biblical
times and bead necklaces. They can also learn about biblical weaponry,
clothing, and play on a life-sized checker board using biblical names
as pieces.
Pictured here are Eidah Bet campers making seals, bagpipes, beading,
and playing checkers of biblical proportion!

It rained in the afternoon in camp and we switched into a rainy day
schedule. We met up with Eidah Bet in soccer, drama, beach
volleyball, art, archery and nagarut before the rain took over.
Eidah Hey began their day on a delicious note with an all time
favorite - Baking with Beverly! In keeping with the theme of the week
(of course!) the time period of Joshua, campers decorated cakes with
pictures of shields or swords. A good time was had by all!
Eidah Hey campers also enjoyed the DISCOVERY ZONE today
and teva.
Pictured here are some pictures from last night's night activity as
well. Click on any of the images to visit the homepage for more pictures.
Eidah Aleph campers also enjoyed Baking with Beverly, Chavaya
Yisraelit, making new discoveries in teva, button-making,
drama and melechet yad before it began to rain.
Aleph campers had fun dancing up a storm last night at their
"Hoe down" - enjoy the pictures and a sneak peak through
video or click on the images to go to their home page for more.
Eidah Gimmel campers enjoyed beach volleyball, flag football,
drama and Chavaya Yisraelit.

Meanwhile, Eidah Daled came back last night from their
chutz, due to the threat of storms. They walked into Honesdale
today and returned as it started to rain again. We caught up with
them at Mifkad before they set out. Watch the two videos below or click on
the image to go to the Daled homepage.
Check out the Machal page for additional pictures from their trip...
