When the eidot arrived at the archaeological site they began by digging and putting their dirt in pails.

They then sifted the dirt to see if there were any additional small artifacts in the earth.

Next came the cleaning and brushing of the items before studying them in the laboratory.

The chanichim learned how to decode ancient Hebrew to better understand their finds.

The chanichim then had the opportunity to reconstruct an artifact.

At the end of the peula each chanich received a certificate attesting to their archaeologica proficiency.
