On Friday The American Red Cross came to camp for a blood drive. Many staff members courageously donated blood. A special thank you to the coordinator, who every summer gives us the opportunity to do this special mitzvah.

Machal at World's End State Park

Machal returned before Shabbat from their two day overnight trip to World's End State Park. They hiked to vistas, through forests and had scrumptious evening cookouts of hot dogs, hamburgers and marshmallows around a campfire.

In the morning after tefillah they had a cook-out of eggs, French toast and grilled cheese.

On Thursday on the way home the buses went straight to the local movie theater for a midnight pre-premiere of the "Simpson Movie".

Today Sunday, Machal is in camp with an optional hike to Walmart before they head out again tomorrow for orienteering and rafting at Hickory State Park.

Eidah Bet got ready to leave on their schmutz which had a pirate theme.

Eidah Hey had a bean hunt where it was the boys against the girls to see who could get more beans. It ended in a tie.

Eidah Daled went on their schmutz last week where they were responsible for cooking their own food and bonding.
