Campers spent the day in a variety of educational peulot designed to enhance sensitivity in relationships with friends and to show how incidents from Tanach have great relevance for us today.

The topics of relationships, sensitivity and bein adam l’chavero will frame the three weeks from now until T’isha B’Av.

What’s in a Name?

The name and meaning of Yerushalayim - where it comes from - and what it means, followed by discussion about qualities of tzedek - justice.

Standing With Sderot

Campers saw a movie about the situation in Sderot and made friendship bracelet kits to send to children their age there. They packaged the kits and included personalized letters. All of the eidot participated in this.

Puzzle Peula

In this peula, campers worked together to assemble a puzzle and then talked about it with Hadassah Meller, the head of the ropes course.

Just do it right

In this peula, the drama department, in conjunction with chinuch, presented four dramatic vignettes from tanach and contemporary situations to illustrate questions to consider in relationships. Afterwards, the eidot were divided into smaller groups with facilitated discussion.
