On Monday July 10, over 250 chanichim and tzevet from Camp Moshava and TVI attended a rally to show their disgust towards the Syrian government and Hamas for kidnapping a 19 year-old Israeli solider, Gilad Shalit, and to demand his immediate release.

Moshava was a significant part of the crowd which exceeded 800 attendees in front of the Syrian Embassy in New York.

"We’re here to tell the Syrians and Hamas that kidnapping Gilad is wrong, and we do not approve," said one chanich from Toronto.

Another chanich, Zev Grushko, said, "I really enjoyed how so many people came together for one cause. It was very inspirational, and I really felt for the cause because my brother, Chaim, is right now in the Israeli Army."

Though the rally was only two hours long, the entire Machane continues to have Gilad in their minds and hearts 24 hours a day. May he, his family, and all of Israel be reunited soon.
