On Friday we were treated to Yom Mishlachat, a day full of special
activities prepared and run by the Israelis on our Tzevet. The day
started at breakfast with a slide show and Israeli music.
On the main migrash there was a shuk . Each camper received 170
shekels to buy the food being offered.
Each eidah spent an activity period going to the different stations
that made up the shuk.
Shir Yisraeli- where the chanichim learned a Hebrew song and sang it
on the ram kol.
"Ha-Ice shel HaMedina" was the snow cone station.
"Rosh Yisraeli" where girls could have their hair braided with string.
Ohel Bedouin offerd a place to rest in the shade, eat pittot freshly
made on the spot and instruments to play.
"La'an Ani Holech?" ring toss on a map of Israel.
"Dana Bandana" - Chanichim created their own special bandanas for the day.
"Bochan Maslul"obstacle course.
"Pinat Lituf" petting zoo with three small calves to pet.
"L galot et Yisrael". A dig to find small flags in a barrel of hay.
"Psifas" tile making project
"HaKotel Ha Maaravi" Cahnichim wrote down their wishes and put them
in a private box. The notes will be taken to Israel and will be put in
the western wall.
