The theme of the first month is Shivtei Yisrael.
This week the Chanichim learned about the special characteristics of each shevet.
The Chanichim were greeted by Wizards who taught them about the stones and potions of each shevet. First the Chanichim were sorted into the four Hogwarts houses Gryffindor (Yehuda), Slytherin (Dan), Hufflepuff (Binyamin), and Ravenclaw (Zevulun). The Chanichim learned how the stones and the symbols for the shevatim were connected to the essence and actions of each shevet. The chanichim crushed the stones and stirred them into potions, as each shevet's stone had specific magical power. For example, the Odem, or Ruby, the stone of shevet Reuven promoted pregnancy and the Yashfe, or Jasper, the stone of shevet Binyamin had the power to make someone stop bleeding.
