On the Road

On July 8th Machal hiked through the waterfalls at Ricketts Glen, Pennsylvania.
A grand splash was had by all.

Afterwards they went to a mall in Scranton.

Followed by a Red Barrons baseball game.

At the stadium we made an amazing discovery –
one of our madrich’s long lost twin brother.

Back to camp on Friday where Machal presented their cumulative hotdog count.

Sunday was visiting day and Monday morning Machal left for a four day trip to Boston. The first afternoon and night were spent at Camp Ramah in Palmer Massachusetts. Tuesday, despite the rain Machal went to Six Flags New England.

That night they traveled to downtown Boston where they shopped
at Quincy Market in Faneuil Hall. Due to inclement
weather, Machal had a last minute change of plans and
spent the night in the Maimonidies High School gym
instead of in a campground.

Wednesday we woke up extra early to go whale watching
only to find out that the trip was canceled due
to fog and rain. But that didn’t dampen the mood of the Machal campers.

The delay was used as an opportunity for the rav machal,
Rav Moti Fogelman, to deliver shiur to the eidah.

Instead of whale watching Machal took a short walk to Plymouth Rock and the Plymouth Wax Museum. The rainy morning was followed by an exciting tour of Fenway Park where everyone had the opportunity to experience the famous baseball stadium.

In the evening Machal headed back to downtown Boston to have some good laughs at Improv Asylum. There Boston’s most popular improvisational group used Machal jokes to create various amusing performances.

From there they traveled to a beautiful dry campground
where they spent the night.

For the final day of the Boston trip Machal headed out to sunny Martha’s Vineyard via ferry where they biked around the island.

After a scrumptious dinner from the Milk Street Café, Machal traveled home having spent four fun packed days in Boston, Massachusetts.

On Motzei Shabbat Machal Shevet Lavi showed their courage when they were victorious over Eidah Daled in Girls and Boys basketball.
