HaKarat HaTov

As we usher in chodesh Elul today, tzevet web would like to take this opportunity to wish the entire Moshava community a year filled with blessings of health, happiness, good fortune and bracha to you, and clal Yisrael.

On behalf of Machane Moshava, we would also like to extend a thank you and hakarat hatov to all of our exceptional staff,

who have helped make this summer memorable and fun.

Yesterday and this morning was spent packing and cleaning. In addition, our mishlachat, Israeli staff, who add so much to the camp atmosphere, created a Yom Yisrael yesterday for the campers. From capturing Yerushalayim to attending a mock hashba'a (swearing in of soldiers),

campers learned about various aspects of Yerushalyim's history.

Trying a new approach this year for the last day of camp, Moshava set up a carnival with inflatables, booths, and lots of fun food. Popcorn, cotton candy and games - in the words of one camper, "this is awesome"!

To conclude the educational message of the month, manhigut - leadership, the entire camp gathered for a moving and dramatic "Hakhel" ceremony (as was done in biblical times and more recently in Yerushalyim) to proclaim the greatness of the Almighty, and the rededication of our people to Torah and mitzvot, and to illustrate the highest level of leadership, world leadership. This was followed by a delicious banquet and a PowerPoint* recapping the special month that we had at Machane.
*Please note that the PowerPoint file is 39 MG - and may take 5 minutes or longer to download depending on the speed of your connection.

Shana Tova!
