Maccabiah July 2004

Sunday morning began as usual until the chanachim entered the Chadar Ochel for breakfast and noticed that there were no benches to sit on.



They got used to the new seating arrangement but were somewhat surprised to see that Blue Fringe was giving another concert during breakfast.
The band was almost done singing the last verse of their song “Flippin Out" when they seemed to change their lyrics to announce the Maccabiah games. This was soon confirmed by Channah…

…who announced the names of the different teams, Ta’asiya, which means industry is represented by black, and Chakla’ut, which means agriculture is represented by green. All of the chanichim of a given bunk are on the same team.

The teams went out to compete against each other in various activities over the course of the day including: water polo, pillow polo, tennis baseball, football, hockey, basketball and low ropes.

Maccabiah will continue until tomorrow might when the winning
team will be announced.
