T'isha B'Av

Today, T'isha B'Av, we mourn our universal and personal loss. T'isha B'Av in camp is always powerful as campers march down a candle lit path singing slow songs of Yerushalayim. But today our grief took on additional meaning, as we said goodbye to our dear friend, Judah. This morning a camp-wide memorial was held to remember Judah, Yehuda Shlomo. Judah was remembered for his warmth, his caring and concern for others, his relationships with his friends and campers, his love of Torah and Israel, and his beautiful smile.

Throughout the day campers are also remembering the tragic events of T'isha B'Av through eidah-wide activities.

And around camp this afternoon some eidot participated in group cooperative exercises. In these pictures campers have to work together to untangle themselves. Other campers were involved in
“building Yerushalayim”, in nagarut
(woodworking) and melechet yad (arts and crafts).

Join us for our Yom Iyun. The program will take place at Camp Moshava on Sunday, August 10 from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
