Maccabiah August 2001 - Aliya vs. Hatkuma

Winning the maccabiah is no simple matter. In addition to sports, teams are judged on original cheers, divrei torah , thematic decorations for the chadar ochel (lunch room), cleanliness, three musical presentations, a team flag, team mascot, creation of an aron kodesh, and creation of a theme painting for a mechitzah. In addition, each team is responsible for an original thematic stomp band. These were extremely impressive and creative! Each team also participates in an apache relay.
