Eidah Hey

The educational theme for this month is Yerushalyaim.  Its' history, practices and importance in our lives. On the second day of camp the eidot had an activity called "bikurim" or first fruits.

Mark Shinar, the sgan rosh Moshava for eidot hey and aleph, explained the activity where campers had to hunt for candies in the grass and then bring them
to the Cohen Gadol.

In ancient times the first fruits were brought on an animal to Jerusalem. We had a
horse and buggy.

The candy found by each bunk was weighed by the Cohen and the winning bunk got to
ride through camp.

Enjoying a warm up
exercise in drama.
